Occasional burning smell from our brand new Karoq 1.5tsi. Reading that it's likely to be chemical protection from factory bejnf burned off but would like some reassurance. Will talk to dealer if it continues

Fear not.
Sometimes the exhaust has a type of waxy treatment. It should burn off within a100 miles. If not. >dealer. My Kodiaq did the same.
All three of my Karoqs were not new, so were not affected.
