Hi all, first post.
Looking for some help in removing the radio from a 2019 Karoq Sport line. If anyone can provide any details
Many thanks
Radio removal
The infotainment system is deeply imbedded in the Karoq's computer systems, so it wouldn't make sense (in my view) to replace it with a standard car radio. Or are you asking if you can upgrade from an Amundson to a Columbus?

I don't think you COULD actually replace it with a car radio. As you say. It is part of the infotainment system. Without which the car just won't work!
I must admit I am not a great listener to music in any car, One is, after all, in a tin box with road roar and wind noise. You are not sitting in the centre of a sound proof acoustic room.
Upgrading the system (if that is what the OP wants) would be cost prohibitive and not worth it. Only my opinion , for what it's worth.

Hello Kodiaq, CJJE - thanks for the replies. I should have been more specific in my original post of help. The radio removal is to try and assist in locating a particularly annoying rattle/squeaking noise from inside the dashboard which is gradually making me mad. The radio will be going back on, no requirement to replace it.
I did successfully remove the radio by using specialist tools, so in that regard it was a success. However, it hasn't help in locating the cause of the noise

That makes sense!
Mine has a creak (around the digital instrument panel, I think) - but only in very cold weather when the dashboard has presumably shrunk slightly. So I've ignored it so far.
