Hi Forum
Is anyone else suffering months of delays on delivery? I ordered a 2.0 diesel Edition with tow bar, Canton and heated screen on 13th January 2018. I still do not have a delivery date - it is at least three weeks away. Very seriously considering cancelling. Has anyone any experience of compensation?

Yes! I ordered on almost the same day. The latest delay is due to no back seats! Apparently there is a huge backlog to clear now that they have the Alcantara. I’ve been told that if my car isn’t on the boat today, then it won’t be here this month. The main problem is that I’ve just sold my old car🤨

My last new car back in 2015 (VW Golf) took 8 months from order to delivery which was over 4 months late. I can fully relate to the frustrations being felt. Eventually, VW customer service provided a loan car for the final month and sent me £250 of John Lewis vouchers. Hoping my Karoq SEL 1.5 isn’t affected in the same way but all seems on track with a 9 week estimated delivery at the moment. Having said that it also has the vario seats and leather that I keep reading is the main delay on the Edition models.

Thanks for the responses, chaps, good to know I'm not on my own. Skoda UK are refusing to talk to me - they are hiding behind 'Data Protection'. My dealer informs me that Skoda are offering me a 'goodwill gesture' gesture of £100. That brings anew depth and meaning to the word 'derisory'. As gestures go, it is an insult. Let's just hope that Skoda somehow manage to get their act together and start behaving like a company that actually cares about it's customers.

My car was delivered to the dealers on the date they told me to expect it. I ordered on 22 January and was advised it should be ready for collection on 1 May. I chose to take it a few days later as it was easier for me to collect it on a Saturday.

I have leather, varioflex seating, like the edition, so I'm not convinced that they are the items causing the delay in delivering Hagarthequitenice's car.

Have fun,

Ian.

All I've heard from the dealer is that there is (or was) a shortage of parts. I'm not surprised that demand for the Karoq has been so high, I think it's a really great car. These things happen. But I cannot forgive Skoda for their absolutely appalling customer service. Even though the motor industry is renown for poor service, Skoda are lowering the standards.
