I appreciate the car tells you when the next service is due, but is it possible to see what the actual servicing schedule is? The service intervals and service items at each service? It feels like Skoda assume their customers are not allowed to know such things, but I am interested and until now have always had a booklet to advise on this. Is there somewhere official of Skoda's that the service schedule can be seen?

Your car may be set to annual servicing or variable servicing - the date it gives for its next service should tell you which is applicable.

For annual servicing, the details are shown here: https://www.skoda.co.uk/owners/servicin ... ixed-price

For variable servicing, the car will decide when it needs to be serviced according to the length of your journeys and speeds driven. This can leave intervals of up to 18,000 miles between oil services, but other items are still time driven.

Many thanks.

My car just says 9500 (thereabouts) miles to the next service. Just bought it from Skoda main dealer and serviced as part of that. What/who decides whether annual or variable servicing?

What I can't see in that service schedule is anything to do with cambelt change. Presumably these engines do have cambelts rather than cam chains?

There's some useful info on cambelts in this thread https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/5 ... al-change/

Cars seem to come from the factory set to variable servicing, which is great for business use and high mileage drivers. As I only do around 7,000 miles per year nowadays, I prefer to have the car set to annual services when I buy it - any dealer can do this when you have the car serviced. If you are due to be serviced in 9,500 miles, it sounds like it is set to annual/10,000 mile services. When does you car say the next service should be in days?
