New Karoq 1.5 lacking acceleration performance in 6 gear

Just got my 1.5 SEL ,reviews all say great things about performance and power , 0 to 60 , but once you get to 60 on a motorway or open rd I find the car lacks acceleration, making it dangerous to attempt an overtake . ?
I also have a newish fabia 110 that would put the karoq to shame at same speed .
Anyone having the same issues please. ?
