I had a letter from Skoda this morning stating....

"Skoda Auto has found out that there is a risk of a crack in the frame of the left front seat
in a limited number of vehicles.
The insufficient protection of the passengers may be the consequence in case of an accident.........."

It gave my VIN number bit did not give any indication of the VINs between which it affects.
Mine is19 reg.
Thanks to Derek (The Hood) below.
I have checked a couple of Karoqs on Autotrader 18 and 68 reg and neither of those (both 1.5EVO) showed a recall outstanding.
So I assume it is only 19reg, possibly 69, but none for sale yet (unsurprisingly!) on Autotrader.

There have been six safety recalls for the Karoq, 2 x 2017, 3 x 2018 and 1 x 2019 these are by VOSA rather than Skoda.

This link will let you search by vehicle and year rather than registration. https://www.check-vehicle-recalls.service.gov.uk/recall-type/vehicle/make

Thanks for the link Derek. I e-mailed the dealer yesterday and was told that our Karoq is not the subject of any recalls.

I am at present speaking to Meadens re seat frame and they have informed me that there is also an airbag recall outstanding on some Karoqs.
They will rind me me back when they have the details. I will then modify this post.

Not been here for a while so checked the recalls on my year. Only the centre rear head restraint may affect my car. Two others don't affect my car as it doesn't have a bench seat and is dsg ( parking brake ) another is too little torque, haven't noticed any issue with mine. I've had no recall from skoda

Sorry, I forgot to report on airbag recall. Dealer has not heard of it!
