I'm looking for some information on the MPG for the 1.5 petrol SE L . Read the standard brosure and advertising but would like to hear from someone who actually has a the car and uses it. Please give an indication of the mix of driving you do. Read some reviews!! That say mpg is not so good. Would appreciate all comments on mpg.
Thanks

So far, with less than 200 miles on the clock, 90% town driving, and from the on-board readings only, my average is 36.6mpg.

I would hope this will improve once the car is run in a bit, and with some longer runs. By way of comparison, my 1.2 Qashqai (which the Karoq replaced) showed a lifetime mpg of 37.4 after 3 years of mixed use.

However, the danger is I will enjoy making use of the extra power of the Karoq too much!

I think some people take it too seriously regarding this engine consuption.
I hope buyers are aware that this engine is a beast 1.5TSI. It has best acceleration compared to ANY other model that has same engine power.
It is known that this engine is not the best MPG in its class but its not bad ether comapred to the Kia or even Honda that consume more fuel but have worse acceleration

The only thing unique is 2 cylinder deactivation that may save some fuel in motorway.
Regardless real estimation AFTER at least 2000+ miles consuption can drop if your driving style is eco friendly to around 38-40mpg as many reported other forums.
For this engine it is really good for 110kw and 8.6s to 100km/h acceleration.
I compared to all compact suv's and all of them are worst. You ether get high consuption or very bad acceleration.
I will get my car next week, so will see what i get really.

Thank you for the replies to the post. I had hoped to receive a lot of figures on the MPG but it may there are not enough of these cars on the road yet. I've compared the Karoq with the Seat Ateca for performance, although not a major factor in making a decision, and the usual boot size etc. on performance and having driven both I wouldn't call the 1.5 Skoda a Beast and reviews tend to agree the 1.4 Ateca is 'brisker'. Both have virtually the same figures on performance but the Skoda has better trim and overall package. The Ateca 1.4 I have been informed SHOULD do up to 40 mpg Urban with reasonable care on accelerator and up to 50 mpg combined. The Karoq 1.5 seems to be a bit of an unknown, one dealer running this model as a demonstrator reported 45 mpg, the readout on his car before test drive said 37 mpg as an average. The latest pitch seems to be the MPG will improve after about 1500 miles, bit of a gamble after spending £25,000. I don't think it is a case of taking MPG too seriously, that seems to me that fuel cost is not an issue and certainly using the 1.5 ltr power will without doubt drop the consumption to below 30 mpg.

Thanks for the comment much appreciated.

I have had mine, with the dsg,for about 3 weeks,It has given me up to 47m.p.g.. in mixed driving,I have not used the motorway yet,but will be interest ed to see the figures. My last car was a Mazda cx5 2 litre diesel, and that always gave me less that 40 m.p.g.

Real numbers. Where i live it has been around -4 to -10 C past weeks. So all the heating on early morning (Mirrors, windscreen, steering wheel) i got average urban driving only 32-33 mpg. Those are short drivings about 12km one trip before engine is cooled off again.
Motorway today i got 40mpg at -5C weather about 100km/h speed most time. A bit heavy foot is also in that.

Still not done 1000km yet as needed to complete the mandatory burn in after which consuption should go down.
Cant wait for summer or warmer weather and summer tires that will improve quite a bit average fuel consumption. 45mpg seems realistic in warmer weather and motorway driving.

I can't believe that 40 MPG is not a good enough figure for you guys. Even 35 is great for a car that size, running with a petrol engine.
My 1.6 Diesel Qashqai (which Karoq is replacing) )was doing 36MPG (city mostly driving) and was quite satisfied about it.

I know it's not a karoq, but my arona with this engine, whilst in France, manged an average of 48mpg on a mix of rural, urban and a roads. This was four up with a full boot and large roof box. Just to give you an idea.

Was that the figure the car provided or one you calculated? I ask because the trip computer always seems to be optimistic about the fuel consumption. (Probably because the Marketing Wonks insist on it and it is VAG who have not been noted for their honesty of late...)

Have fun,

To be fair it was the trip computer but with an 8 gallon tank you know when it's drinking it and we covered 250 miles on just under 3/4 of a tank indicated by the gauge. Don't thinks it's a million miles off.
