Hi,
Has anybody got a hopeful answer from the dealer about "Kangarooging" problem of 1.5 TSI?
Any idea about the fix?
Thank You
Any fix for Kangarooging
VAG are 'working on a fix' Don't hold your breath!
It appears to affect mainly manual cars. My DSG is not affected.
Many Kodiaq 1.5 owners are jumping up and down about this problem.
I reckon it needs a tweak to the ECU that controls the mixture when cold. (what used to be the 'choke')
When you start off, try putting in neutral an 'blipping' the throttle that will dump more fuel into the system and may ease the problem until . the VAG boffins get off their fat a*ses and sort themselves out

Car going in on Tuesday for mild kangarooing - service manager told me that all manual complaints are down to poor clutch & throttle control but DSG could be an issue.
I don’t believe this for one moment as there are literally hundreds of complaints across all VAG brands for manual versions - it has to be the engine & ECU setup.

I have never heard such rubbish (your first sentence) I advise you to report it to Skoda U.K Customer service.0333 003 7504.
Don't waste time with the person who answers the 'phone. Demand (politely) to speak to a customers Services MANAGER.
I would also tell them what your dealer said. Some Skoda dealers are very quick to abrogate responsibility and blame the 'idiot' customer! Which most of us aren't!!

Depending on the out come, I suggest you 'name & shame' your dealer to protect others from their incompetence!

No need to wait for the outcome. Your dealer has already demonstrated his contempt for the people who by cars from him; at the very least, anybody dealing with such a company should do so with their eyes open. Feel free to name and shame both the dealer and the individual.
Have fun (and stay away from idiotic service managers),
Ian.
