Hi,

May I know, anybody compare karoq with seat ateca before buying karoq? I think, both are using almost same components. Ateca looks cheaper and giving more options for the price. What's your opinion?

Thank you

I drove both (as well as a VW Tiguan) and the three cars are very similar. The Seat is a bit more sporty in terms of ride and handling but at the expense of comfort and feeling less refined. If I recall correctly, there is no Varioflex option available for the Ateca, a significant downside to me. For a long drive, the Karoq would always be my preference. The Tiguan is quite soft and wallows in bumpy bends, it was not bad, but the difference was noticeable. The VW is also significantly more expensive when compared like for like, I guess the premium is there because the badge snobs will pay it (I did not bother to test the Audi Q3 or Q5; they just seem to be very expensive ways to buy a Skoda). Nothing actually wrong with any of the cars it is simply a matter of personal preference.

Have fun,

Ian.

Would agree with the above, plus I preferred the look of the karoq as well. Also compared with Volvo XC40, but steering was very light, packaging didn't seem as good and didn't like having to use touch screen for basics like heating controls
