I'm sure this has been covered somewhere before, but a week after placing my Karoq order I'm having horrible feelings regarding the KESSY. I haven't had a car this "techy" before and the KESSY worries me a little. How secure is it, can you turn it off etc? Any advice would be great.
Thanks

Yes you can lock the car and disable Kessy.

Lock with the key button and within 5 seconds touch the handle sensor. Wait 10 seconds before testing.
You then unlock the car with the key button.

One useful thing is folding mirrors. When they are folded you know the car is locked.

Thanks Tom, It's a shame it can't be turned of permanently so you don't have to do it everytime you lock it, but maybe I'm just being over paranoid. Can't wait for the car to arrive :)

Surely not too much of a bother to do as Tom said. To save getting it pinched. It will become automatic quite quickly. I don't even thin about it now. Or you can simply touch the little bar on the handle, wait a second and repeat.

Kodiak

So what does the double touch on the handle sensor do?

Got me!. Brain still hurting as well as new hip. Getting discombobulated, Sorry..... double tap on the door tab disconnects the interior alarm sensor. Apple-o-gees!

Are you sure the surgeon had passed his anatomy exam? Hips and brains should not be easily confused ;)

Have fun,

I have been told that G.A.s can take up to 3 months to clear the body. During which time it can affect the brain.
That's my excuse & I'm sticking to it :D

I think the second press / touch also disables the 'dead locks'...?

Only had my Karoq a day and Im a little confused about the locking system
If I approach the car with the key in my pocket I can unlock it by gripping the drivers door handle. I then close the door and can lock it by touching the touchpad on the door handle.
However....If I enter the car as above, then go for a drive....when I park up I cant lock the door with a touch but have to use the keyfob.
As a newbie Im sure its very simple but my brain hurts.....help.
