Im currently going through the process of ordering my new car.

Currently looking at 1.6TDi 115 DPFR SS EU6 SE L 6Spd

One thing that has caught my eye is the Skoda connect option. I quite like the idea of being able to turn on the auxiliary heater remotely.

But there in lies my question. Is the aux heater standard as I cant see an option for it and the website seems somewhat vague.

It's not a UK option.

Shame makes the connect option more of a gimmick than anything useful.

Unfortunately UK laws do not allow the remote control of a motor vehicle so it's not an option in little Britain . ☹️

Which is kind of interesting, since it is possible to start the engine of a colleague's Jaguar from his cell phone... :?:

Have fun,

Starting the engine is hardly remote control of a vehicle. Having said that, the brake pedal has to be depressed before the engine will start, a safety feature that would be bypassed if it was possible to start the engine from a phone. Are we getting that lazy that we can't go out and start the car, then go back inside.

Brother-in-law's Range Rover allows you to pre heat and access a whole range of vehicle functions from smart phone app. He can track the thing and log activity - has caused some issues with dealer when in for service etc. He demonstrated the warm up functions when he was staying with us over very cold winter night.
