Interior and boot Light upgrade
Folks, I’m thinking of upgrading the interior (front and middle) and boot lights to LED or similar. Despite searching I’m unable to find much information on this. Can anyone guide me as to what type/spec bulbs I need and how easy it is to change all these bulbs? If anyone’s got any video of changing these that would be greatly appreciated

Are you sure they are UK legal?
I'm probably a little rusty on the subject, but thought UK approval was required for headlights and that didn't cover LED.

Agree you can't legally change exterior bulbs for LEDs, but mistac was originally asking about interior lights which do not seem to be restricted as far as I know.

Well, I’ve replaced all the interior lights with the little kit that I ordered from earlier in the thread . Must say I was quite impressed with the kit itself, even comes with plastic trim removal thing and the led’s make a huge difference- if anything it’s now too bright!
In terms of fitting the bulbs, my comments are
1. the owners handbook is bloody useless (unless I am missing where it is listed)
2. I found it was largely trial and error (and a little help from you tube but again there is little on there either!) to remove the panels - refitting the bulbs is straightforward though.
3. The most difficult/awkward is the front light panel. Ended up having to take most of the 2/3 panel bits off and by then I was at point of no return (although once I had done that I thought is there an easier way!) and also broke a tiny clip off on one of the panels but fortunately it all went back together nicely
4. I ordered through Ali express - took 2-3 weeks and only cost £8-9 - so can’t understand why on earth Skoda did not fit better lights in first place
Here is the finished product along with one or two part way through photos pic 1 is rear centre lights, pics. 2 and 3 are sun visors and pic 4 is showing both rear centre and front centre, pic 5 is front centre light panel
One thing that puzzled me is that the 3 mini lights near the sunglasses holder look like they are wired up but do not work (difficult to see if bulbs are in there as light was fading) and another is I don’t remember the two mini map lights near the on/off buttons ever working before but they do now
