Interesting that Ford and Volvo are now stripping out safety features from their cars to maintain supplies - and that Ford's Puma no longer has a 5 star rating if you buy the trim level without those features!!

I have had Karoq 1.5 ACT SEL on order since July. Today I have been contacted by dealer, who has in turn been contacted by Skoda, to say that my car was ordered with 'Family Pack' but auto child locks are being removed from the spec due to chip shortage. If we still wish to have auto child locks Skoda have indicated that order will not be accepted until June 2023.

JDS is that a typo 2023, or have they really said a two year wait?

Hi bryfly48. No 2023 is as it was relayed to me by dealer. I took it as being Skoda's way of making sure no one ordered/insisted on this option although I must confess I did not query the date as the deletion was not important to me - I just said OK. I put the post up more to show members that semi-conductor is already causing VW Group vehicles to have their spec altered to try to cope with the problem, so it is not just Ford and the like.
