Sending navigation route to car

Hi
Have my Skoda Connect all set up fully a few weeks ago and everything works as it should except when I try to send Satnav details to the car via connect app.
It allows me to do it on the app and seems to send ok however it never reaches the car and I cannot find anything within the navigation in the infotainment system where it is actually stored or even if it has ever reached the car at all.
I have the Amunsden system in my 21 Karoq Sportline.
Any suggestions on how I send the navigation to the car via the connect app would be appreciated as it’s very frustrating
Thanks
Jason.

I tried it last night from my phone app, and although it said it had sent the trip to my MY21 Sportline (also with the MIB3 Amundsen) nothing appeared there this morning.

But having seen your post I've just tried it again using the Skoda Connect website https://www.skoda-connect.com

This time when I set up the trip again, I was told it had sent the DESTINATION (not route) to my car. And when I turned on the ignition in the car, after a few minutes text appeared on the infotainment screen over the top of the radio presets. This had a message saying that "The Following Destination has been received." Scrolling down the text box gave me the destination I'd entered and "Details of it will be deleted after a set number of days." Below that I had three touch boxes saying Cancel, Save or View. I touched 'View' and the car then calculated the route to the destination (letting me choose between three routes as usual even though the website had just shown me one route.

So it seems to be able to send the destination to the car but not a chosen route or details of any stopovers that you had been able to set up on the website.

Further investigations are needed to see if I can also do it via the Android phone app :)

I’ve had the same problem sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. I’ve been in touch with the dealer and Skoda but they have failed to come up with a solution.

I've tried again, sending a route from my phone last night, which appeared in the car when I turned on the ignition this morning.
The phone app's instruction to find it in the car's Skoda Connect section is wrong for the Amundsen (as I can't find any such section) but the destination appeared after a few minutes just as I described above. The car downloaded a software update a few weeks ago which may have got it working, but I've no way of seeing the software version level. The system information you see by touching Menu / Settings / System Information just tell you the navigation database version (21.2 for me) and the Radio Database version (1.30.16). Neither of these have changed since the end of April.

Have just tried sending the destination from the connect website and not the connect app on my phone and it worked perfectly.
Soon as I turned the ignition on within a few seconds a message came up saying a destination had been recieved and it gives you the option to view, save etc.
So it only works if you use the connect website and not the app on your phone.

Well it worked for me this morning from my Android phone... for the first time. So it seems to agree with your earlier findings that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't? The good thing is that when it does work it lets you send it destinations that can't be found in the car's satnav search. My test was the RSPB reserve at Minsmere... When I tried to find that as a destination in the car, it was giving me destinations in Eastern Europe starting with RSP, but not Minsmere. But the phone app found it instantly, and then sent it to the car.

Further thoughts about sending destinations to the car from a PC or phone app.

I sent a destination from my phone to my car on Monday morning, but when I went to look for it, it hadn't arrived. So I searched on the Amundsen and stored it that way. Then today (Wednesday) we were out shopping, and when I started on my return trip the message popped up saying the destination I had sent on Monday had just arrived! The mobile reception hadn't changed between Monday and Wednesday, so I can only think it got lost in the Skoda servers, until it was finally coughed up today!

Clearly you need to plan ahead to use this feature :)

Trying this for the first time using my iPhone. Will report whether it’s successful or not? Too late, I got impatient so I’ve sent it via connect portal as well. I’m sure it will work with one or the other I just won’t know which one is successful now!

Not sure when or how it supposed to appear but so far I could not find either of my attempts on the infotainment system! No notifications/messages so don’t know what went wrong

Not sure if it’s anything to do with it but this message (about permission) comes up on the app which doesn’t sound promising
