Nextbase dash cam won’t turn off

My next base dash cam doesn’t turn off when plugged into the cigar point is the point supposed to stay on after locking the Karoq I though it was supposed to turn off how can I get it to turn off I can’t hard wire it bye the way.

Have you tried the reset button? You need to press to force a hard restart.
On a 622GW, on the underneath of the dashcam.
22MY, Karoq 1.5 Edition DSG - 71 registered

Replaced 19MY, Karoq 1.5 Edition DSG 4x4 - 69 registered

Ive just found out that on the 21 models Karoq the 12 volt socket stays live after the ignition is turned off so I don’t know how to turn off the dash cam unless I unplug it and plug it back in again for every trip.

Was told on the forum you can feed it off either of the 5v usb's near the cig lighter socket, tried it and worked OK, but could not hide the wire successfully around the door rubber, due to the thickness of the lead, so went back to cig lighter sckt as wire was thinner and easier to hide...

Skodas all have permanently LIVE 12v sockets (pain in the @rse!!)
Why can you not hard wire it? Ir's a doddle. Whatever you do, don't get Halfrauds to do it, they often cock D/cam installations.
