8 months in with my Scout - a few questions

Hi everyone, had my Karoq Scout since last May and it's been a great car so far.... but I have a few questions/suggestions please.

I've noticed a couple of stone chips, any suggestions of the best place to pick up the two step waterbased paint touch up kits. I haven't tried a dealer yet but online these seem to be really expensive - £18 or so for 2 x 9ml paint/lacquer.

The boot is getting very dirty... see don't have the shelf, just the carpet cover. Does anyone have any suggestions on a decent boot liner please.

Android Auto, is really clunky and unreliable since the recent Android Auto update. I've tried a couple of different Android phones and they connect, disconnect, apps become unresponsive (especially Waze). We've since bought a Skoda Fabia (in December) and Android Auto connection in that seem more reliable. I just wondered if the Karoqs software needs an update or something - any idea's please?

Thanks all

Can't help with paint or Android I'm afraid, but you could try E-bay for the Boot mat. I bought mine there. you have a choice of types at varying prices.

Thanks Kodiaq... I did look on ebay and there seem to be loads... Quality can be hit and miss though so i wondered if there were any specific favourites that most owners go for.

Aldi are selling a car bootliner next Sunday 16th Feb. Not sure how well it will fit, but it can be cut to size/shape and at £5.99 you can't complain https://www.aldi.co.uk/allweather-bootliner/p/099787318682900

I'm a bit late to the party and you have probably got android sorted , but you could try the Skoda official update page, if there is an update it will list it there, you will need your VIN Number http://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/. Every now and agin I have to do a hard reset of my head unit. You could try that. While the ignition is on just push and hold the power button for 15 to 20 seconds. It will start a full reboot, you don't loose any settings so you have nothing to loose. Cheers

Also, since my earlier post, I've discovered a friendly chap on the other skoda forum that can supply the latest Firmware for your head unit (The one Skoda don't supply as a download).

Its a full head unit update so at your Own Risk (i.e. will void warrenty if it fails) However I have updated mine from ver 475 to 478 and then later to 480 when released and its noticably more stable. Have a read and see if it might help.
Cheers
