I was informed by Meadens today that VAG have issued the promised corrective update for 1.5 'Kangaroo syndrome' and almost immediately withdrew it as it was not deemed to be successful.
So we continue to wait! :(

Kodiak’s posting explains why I was told my Karoq was ready to be collected after the update, then got a call to say it wasn’t, then told I could collect it! I was then told they weren’t allowed to do anymore updates.
On the positive side, it mightn’t have solved the Kangaroo Syndrome, but it SEEMS to have solved the lack of throttle response.... I hope... as this was the dangerous one for me.
