Hi, has anyone purchased roof bars for their Karoq I purchased a pair of Thule square bars from Halfords unfortunately the specified foot for raised railings, part no. 7104 for me and the guy from Halfords do not fit correctly. The Halfords guy said the only option was Thule foots with straps unfortunately on trying to order he could no longer find online. Halfords are going to ring Thule tomorrow but guy indicated Thule may no longer be doing this type of foot. Ideas appreciated as need bars?

I bought mine from eBay when I had a Yeti but they fit the Karoq Ok. Just have to make sure they are long enough 135cm. I had bars with identical fittings when I had an Octavia Estate but they were only 120 cm long and wouldn’t fit the Yeti or the Karoq. Just trawl through eBay and have a look. Mine were about £35 but bought more than 2 years ago so cannot trace the seller. They have worked well for my occasional needs but not sure what they’d be like for heavy use.

Thanks for reply. I tried roof bars I had for my Peugeot 407 SW and they clamped a lot better than the ones i’ve Just bought but was concerned from an insurance view point about using something that was not specified for vehicle.

We have the genuine Skoda roof bars for our Karoq. Used them twice so far. They are very good quality, well designed & and easy to put on & off. I don’t know how they compare price wise but I would definitely recommend them. Hope this helps.

I use a set of Thule square bars that I have had for years (over 15) which fit well but suffer from wind noise so I am wondering about changing them for something quieter. I would be interested to see a picture of the official Skoda bars fitted to the car before I decide whether to go to Thule Aerobars or the Skoda alternative. Do you have a picture of the bars you can share? Can you also tell us what you paid for the bars?

Have fun,

Ian.

Ian,
I’ll put them on the car & post some pics. We negotiated for them in the deal when we bought our Karoq March 2018 so not exactly sure how much they would have been. I think they were about £185.
Regards,
Geoff

Thank you Lancashirelad. My local showroom was unable to show me either the bars or a picture. And, so far, they have not come back with a price.

£185 is significantly less than Thule aerobars so I will investigate further.

Thanks again.

Ian.
