I do the same.

Assuming you have the digital cockpit rather than the analogue type (as with the analogue I think you just need to press a small button on the dashboard) on my MY20 Amundsen you need to go into the setting menu on the infotainment system screen.

Press the Car button, then Settings, Instrument Cluster and scroll down to Reset Trip Recorder. Press it and confirm that you really really want to do this.

We don’t have the cockpit screen on our 2020 Sportline and need to press a button in the area where steering column meets dash. Sounds a lot easier than the other way

On our car (I appreciate there may be differences) if you go to Vehicle in the meus, you will be able to finf 3 pages with fuel consumption info. One is Long Term, a second is consumption sinse start (resets if the car has been switched off for about 2 hours) and since refuelling, which resets when you fill up as long as you put in a reasonable quantity of fuel.

But comparing the car's figures with the ones I obtain by filling the fuel tank each time I find it overestimates by at least 5%.

But the page tells you how far you have travelled since a fill, just as your trip does. So you can calculate from the fill quantity.

'Simply clever' Strikes again..
If you have a simple manual button to press to reset the trip odo why not make it ridiculously complicated and make the the owners have to fart about with interminable info T settings.
I'm glad I gave up my 3 Karoqs before all this digital nonsense!

The analogue instruments do indeed have a simple button to press, but I must admit I love the digital instruments and the customisation they allow.

I have mine set up with an old-fashioned tacho and speedo dial either side, but with the dial centres telling my driving range and fuel consumption. The centre of the panel then displays a live map with traffic info, so the main infotainment screen can be left on the radio screen so my co-pilot can still see details about the songs being played.
