The main feature as far a satnav is concerned is the 'live traffic' , whereby you will get diversions suggested for traffic problems. Without the connect subscription, the satnav will continue to function (although Im not sure about map updates ) but live traffic info is disabled. I agree, its not worth paying for after the free year and so on journeys where I want traffic info I use google maps.
