New owner of 22 plate Karoq 1.5 petrol Sportline
The average speed readings are frighteningly low (low teens to low twenties) am I understanding the data wrong or is there something I've overlooked like a reset or something? Am I in the wrong driving mode?

If the previous owner has just driven the car locally around town then the average speed will be as you describe. With mixed use our cars show about 30-35mph for average speed. If it bothers you then reset it but it does not affect anything.

Sorry I gave the wrong description of the issue, what I meant was the average fuel consumption readings which are frighteningly low and not 47mpg as spec states

Try setting the system to show consumption from start. If you do this you will find that the figure starts in the range 10-20mpg. On a typical trip along an A road at 50-60mpg the figure will slowly increase to ~40mpg by ~12 miles. It may then take another 10-12 miles to acheive ~47mpg. I can certainly manage the 47mpg, and on longer runs can exceed 50mpg, . The consumption is much lower round town. I live in a fairly rural area and can make high 40s before I reach the local large town, but a few miles in town sees consumption increae considerablt. Cold weather doesn't help, and having aircon on constantly may increase consumption a bit.

No worries. As mentioned the recent cold temperatures won't have helped with average MPG. My fathers Karoq averages around 45mpg in mixed use. Unless you are doing lots of short journeys you should be getting around this. Next time you fill up I would measure the true mpg (miles/gallons added) for a more accurate measure.

Hi everyone, I’m a committed Skoda driver, I’m on my fifth, albeit that this is my first Karoq, all the others have been Octavia’s.
My Karoq is a 21 plate SEL on petrol & I’m really pleased with it, however it does have one niggling fault in that a couple of times a week the SOS signal comes on with contact Workshop & the green indicator light near the mirror goes out. Invariably this knocks out the infotainment system. My question is there any easy way of stopping this possibly by switching something off! I don’t want to press the buttons either side of the green light as I’m not sure what will happen. Any advice would be appreciated. Mikew

I accept of course the reduced fuel efficiency around town but not early teens,I'm not familiar with all the settings yet but is there a reset for this?

See the thread in the Kamiq section as there is a longish discussion there. I have had this issue on my Karoq 4 times, but when the fault occurs the green light turns red. Also there has never been a fault with the infotainment system. Hope you have an extended warranty!
