The start button on my Karoq appears to be wearing out. It frequently takes several attempts to get the car to respond (start or stop) when I need it to. The button is available as a spare for about fifty quid but I feel sure a dealer will want to charge an arm and a leg to fit it. Does anybody here know whether this is a job that can be done by a hesitant home mechanic or does it require coding to suit the vehicle keys?
I am somewhat disappointed that the switch has not lasted the life of the car, failure at 35K miles seems more than a little premature to me but I guess everybody here already knows I am not a fan of KESSY; this is just another nail in the coffin as far as I am concerned.
Ian.

Thank you, Colin.
No coding by the look of it so I reckon I will give it a go.
