Haldex service?

Hello all,

Having just brought a Karoq Scout DSG diesel after coming from a similar Yeti Outdoor, I was wondering if the Yeti Haldex service intervals applied equally to Karoqs?

I have had my Yeti Haldex serviced every 20k. The Haldex strainer is usually partially blocked whenever it's checked at these intervals. Are Karoqs the same?

My VAG specialist (Unit 18 in Milton Keynes) think so but haven't had any Karoqs in with high milages yet as they're mostly still under warranty.

Thanks

C.

I don't think that includes the Haldex unit. It didn't used to anyway!
Here's mine at 20k:

If you google it, you'll find that the generation 5 units don't have a separate filter, it's now on the end of the pump. And the timing for an oil change service seems to have moved from 2 years/20,000 miles to every 3 years (with no mileage requirement.)

That's for the UK, other markets have different environmental conditions and different recommendations.

I think my 2017 Yeti is a gen. 5 and it was almost completely clogged at 20k. I was shocked!
I think I'll maybe get the Karoq checked at 20k. 30k is probably pushing it as I use the off road mode almost daily.
If it's clean I'll perhaps leave it until 30k. Hmmm!

your lucky if it is a skoda dealer servicing your Karoq and Haldex oil change as they do not recognise that it has a filter on the pump. my dealer wanted £320 plus two 'o' rings @£20 for the pump to do a oil change and clean the strainer

Found a specialist garage to do the whole job for £150 and the filter was partially blocked !! at 26000miles
