Missing Phone Contacts

had my karoq SEL for just a week now and up to now everything was as expected. WEnt out tonight to collect daughters from after school activity and tried to ring them from car.......no contacts showing.
Eventually parked at school and rang them direct from my iphone. when I got home tried again and phone menu shows no contacts although does show my phone and my iphone does show the skoda bluetooth code. When i try to add contacts nothing happens. I have removed my phone from the car, and turned Bluetooth off on my phone and reinstalled my details back into the car which does eventually pair with my phone but no contacts have been transferred over and no matter how much i try i am unable to import any of my contacts into the cars phone system........Any ideas?
