I'm confused with the keys on my model year 2021 Karoq, when I download the manual for that year, the key shown has a removal manual key, but the key on mine has the manual key that just swings out of the body by pressing the button, did one supacede the other or are both types used?

Mine has the same swing out key blade, and that is the one shown in the 2020-07 manual. But as you say, the later version of the manual shows a different key (as well, I think from memory). So it looks like the latest MY21 Karoqs may well have a different type of key.

Cheers Chris , I guess the early 2021 model year was using up the old stock of that key, good thing is it looks easier to change the battery, I wonder if it is one of the keys that turns off after about 15 minutes though....

Yes it should be as the motion-detecting KESSY keys were introduced for MY20 (ie from summer 2019).

I presume the new keys are a bit cheaper to make, and may be a bit smaller too?
