Hi has any body had trouble with the boot lid getting water in ? i noticed mine today made a sloshing noise as I opened it , then when fully up water came out through the internal plastic cards and into the boot.
Probably not that much , but always looks worst when its in a place its not supposed to be .
I've all ready spoken to someone from the dealership and it will be going in at some point.
Cheers Michael

Never heard of that, sorry.
You have done the right thing though, let the dealer sort it out. Don't put up with any BS or excuses!
Please report back here. Always useful to have facts available in case someone else suffers the same thing.

At last, someone else who is suffering getting soaked every time they open the tailgate after it rains.
I’m getting rather pissed off with my dealership, and I’m at the point where I’m ready to return the car as being “unsuitable”

There is so much water, it’s like a waterfall and living with leukaemia, I’ve enough to think about without this all the time.
The car is going back to the garage on Monday so, I’m less than a year, it’s been back for sensor errors, faulty e-brake, re-align the tailgate struts, condensation in the headlights, condensation in the taillights and now water in the tailgate again.

Maybe Id just be better off, with a gallon of petrol and a box of matches.

I HATE THIS CAR!!!!

Hi Sam , sorry your going through a bad time.
See how they do on Monday , ours is going in on Monday for the second time , we'll have to compare notes.
Its had the middle brake light and seal replaced to no avail.
Apparently this time the smaller of the 2 technicians is going in the boot while the other sprays water to try and see where its getting in.
Personally I think the bonding for the glass has come away because one day it was dry and the next it was sloshing out.
If there's no joy on Monday I'm going to ring Skoda customer service and have a moan.
All the best Michael

Hello Michael

They’ve said the same to me, they’d remove all the trim and someone would sit in the boot while they put the hose on it.

Can’t wait for the next great idea they pull out their backsides.

Oh and that was Northern Irish sarcasm just in case you missed it.
My dealership in Swansea where I live, hates me, simply because I won’t take any nonsense from them.

Hi , our karoq was in at the dealership on Monday , one guy in the boot with an endoscope and one guy outside with a pressure washer . After 20 mins they found water seeping in where the bolts come through into the boot for holding the gas strut brackets . They have sealed them with grease .
We've had some heavy rain since and all seems well, time will tell.

Hello folks
Just a quick update on my tailgate problem. The dealership seems to think that rain is getting in where the rear wiper is housed.
They’ve “sealed” it with silicone, it’s a mess but if it works that’s all that matters.
My only aim now is finding out how I can get the boot dried, it stinks.
