Less than 2 weeks after taking delivery of my Karoq Sportline, someone very kindly broke the offside rear light lens. I ordered a replacement (at £173) with the intention of fitting it myself (my dealer wanted £60 to do the job). However, I couldn't find anything on the internet explaining how to remove the lens and the service dept at the dealer also didn't have a clue.
Fortunately, it was reasonably straightforward. There is a removable flap inside the boot (behind the lens) which reveals a plastic screw. Undo this and the lens comes away from the car quite easily. It's then a matter of unplugging one connection and detaching the plastic bulb holder to remove the broken lens. Reverse the procedure to mount the new lens.
I'm liking the Karoq very much. It replaces a Yeti.
Rear Light Lens replacement
Welcome to the forum and many thanks for your 'teach-in on rear lens removal. I am sure many will find that useful as time progresses.
I have bookmarked it for reference.
