This from my Skoda dealer 5 minutes ago,
Hi Colin,

Hot off the press. The 1.5 TSI fix has been released for some engines. I have checked one Karoq which was covered by it, so would assume something like your old one would too.

Do you have any indication of which engines are covered? Or why some are and others are not?

Ian,
According to my dealer it was only during a certain period covering 18 reg cars.
Apparently it was not EVERY 1.5, although it did occur throughout the VAG .
It was usually on manuals. although mine, alluded to above, was DSG it was a very insignificant fault and soon went away of its own accord.
My current 19 reg Edition is faultless.
