Front Grille

Hello all.
Has anyone any knowledge on how to replace a front grille on a Karoq. I had a bird strike 2 days after I drove it from the showroom that broke a couple of the cross pieces. I have priced a new one from Skoda £73 + vat but the fitting costs £145 which begs the question is it a very difficult job to change out.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Found this on other site ::

Unfortunately the grill surrounds are clipped and plastic welded to the main part of the grill. It all depends on access to the Torx screws along the upper edge on the back of the grill. Have you taken any photo's to share on here? If you can access the four Torx screws then chances are you'll be able to do it with the grill in situ, although you'll have to smash the current chrome surround off first in small sections, carefully of course!

If you can't easily access the four Torx screws which partially releases the grill (allowing access to all of the clips) then as the grill is plastic welded to the front bumper, the bumper needs to come off as well, so a pretty big job.

Thanks for that post. Mmm it sounds like the £145 quoted to do the job might be worth paying as any mess up will be down to garage to sort !!!
