Good morning, afternoon or evening. I have a Karoq 68 Plate SEL 1.6 diesel- DSG- 53K on the clock. Noticed recently that the engine seems to take a little longer to kick in after pressing start button. It seems to turnover for slightly too long - it has always started and there are no engine management lights on - it just sounds like it delays. Had a service recently no issues found- fuel and air filter changed, Cambelt done in Oct 22. no change since the service. Wondered if the battery was at the end of its life. Tested the battery and it read 12.5 volts with engine off, 12.7v with engine running at idle. Read that this should be around 13.7v when the engine is running. In addition there does seem like a slight delay in acceleration after putting footdown. Any thoughts? Many thanks.

I agree with the 13+volts charge with engine running. Get a battery shop to do a high discharge test on it to make sure.
