Picked up my lovely lovely new Karoq today. It’s so smooth. Anyone have condensation in their headlights? It goes after I drive for a bit.

Hi, it’s a 1.5 TSI edition. Moon white with additional heated screen and light assist. It’s a pleasure to drive. Smooth ride yet sturdy and enough oomph when pulling away for a girl! The driving position is nice and high with the added seat adjustment and because there is lots of glass you get really good all round vision. The media screen is lovely and big with enough buttons and gadgets to feel like a real cockpit. (Compared to my 10 year old Tigra)
Only downer on collection was No mats. Really surprised at this as a £30,000 car should have a set of £40 mats included. Oh well, if we had of known we would have ensured we got them. Getting used to all the controls although my manual is in German so for any forum readers, check your manual! If you have an edition check it has the SD card in (which it should)
N.B. make sure you buy signal blocking wallets for your car keys when you are at home. Some thieves use a signal booster and use it to get into your car! I know this sounds obvious but easily done...don’t leave your keys in the car. Keep them in your pocket so
1. You don’t get out of car, lock it and walk off as someone could open car.
2. Don’t program your home address in sat nav in case it gets stolen and they have your home address and house keys.
The car I love !!!!! It took me a long to choose the car and now it’s here it’s great. Loads of space and easily accessible for grandparents. Only had it a day so lots to learn.

Hi congrats on your new car.

Yes ours had condensation in the lights to begin with but I haven't noticed it recently so hopefully yours will go too, keep an eye on it and take it back if it's still there.

We were told by one dealer we spoke to that if you press the button on the key to actually lock the car rather than the button on the drivers door handle it deadlocks the doors and can only be unlocked again using the actual key, must check this out myself, he mentioned it when we were talking about keyless entry systems, although this is our 3rd car with it as Lexus had it on their cars years ago.

I have just checked the brochure online and the spec states that the SE L version has textile mats included, seeing as yours is the Edition it should also come with them, worth checking with your dealer about that.

Happy driving

Hi, thank you for your info. I’ve just checked my brochure and yes the SE L should have mats, so as you rightly said, So should the edition! I’m going to contact them about that. 😡
My light condensation appears to have disappeared now too which is a good sign.
We’ll have a look at the key locking system too. Much appreciated.

Hi, yeah thank you very much for the info. I had already ordered some mats but the garage are going to pay for them. It was weird as they should have been in it. Any way the manager at city gate has been really good, so should be reimbursed soon.
Absolutely loving my car so much. Had a quick trial of the cruise control the other day and I think it will be really useful. Gave it its first wash today and it was a pleasure. Hope you’re enjoying your car tooz

Like the car. I have a 1.5 SEL.

I too have had the condensation once or twice.
IT took me a short time to work out how to open and close the car. Grip the handle to open and a single finger on the slot outside to close.

I keep the keys well away from the car when at home.

Enjoy the car, Shame about the TV AD for it.
