Re: Karoq Windscreen washer delay

I've never noticed this myself, but the Skoda Storyboard website says: "Why the wait? All ŠKODA cars have what is known as “wiper delay”. If you don’t use the windscreen spray for a long time, the hoses carrying the fluid may be empty - then it takes a while before the activated pump forces the...

Re: New karoq owner (new owner not new Karoq) :p

What an odd policy from your first dealer! After all, if you were willing to collect it they weren't incurring extra delivery costs, and Skoda UK certainly supply NI while Skoda Ireland supply the European trim levels and specs. So the Skoda UK warranty should still be valid I'd have thought. Hope a...

Re: Facelifted Karoq Details

Looking at the missing options, I'm very glad I bought my Sportline when I did! No 2.0TSI (190 PS) with 4x4, no Area View option (according to French and German configurators, and it's also gone from the UK Kodiaq configurator), and no Racing Blue paint. And I don't think the dynamic indicators and ...

Re: Hello

Welcome to the forum! The lockdown has down odd things to people's driving habits. Previously I've been used to driving from 10,000 to 12,000 miles a year, often including several thousand each summer driving across Europe. But since buying my new Karoq in November 2020, I've only managed 3,500 mile...

Re: Media - No SD Cards?

Just transfer your music onto a USB memory card. I have one with a USB-C plug at one end to plug into the car socket, and a standard USB plug at the other end to plug into my PC. When in the car, the sliding cover can still close. A typical one is https://www.mymemory.co.uk/integral-128gb-fusion-dua...

Re: New owner , over from the dark side!

My Karoq is the first car I've had with a heated windscreen and steering wheel, although I've had heated seats for the last twenty odd years!

And just like the seats, it's an option I wouldn't be without now!!

Skoda Digital Certificate

I've just had an email from Skoda, linked to my Skoda Connect subscription. It appears that Skoda will be adding a free Digital Certificate service to the Remote Access package, and the email gave me a link to follow to learn more about it. Unfortunately the link didn't work, but as the service has ...

Re: Oil top up

It is quite normal for a new engine to use more oil while it is being run in, and the owner's handbook gives some good advice on how to treat it for the first thousand miles. I always buy a small bottle of oil and keep it in the boot when I buy a new car, (the low viscosity oil used in my 2.0TSI Spo...
