Re: Loss of pressure detected

The standard tyre pressure monitor works by comparing the rotational speed of the tyres over time - if a tyre has lost pressure compared with the others it will be rotating slightly faster - and uses the ABS sensors to do this. I would expect the dealer to have set the system up when preparing it fo...

Re: Airbag failure

And of course if it has failed its MOT, you shouldn't be driving it unless it is to get the fault repaired! This is not quite true. The car can fail its MOT test and still be driven until the existing MOT expires unless the MOT failure list a dangerous fault. Whether an airbag light is classed as a...

Re: Airbag failure

I've not heard of this problem myself, but believe that the official Skoda advice is that you should drive cautiously to a dealer for it to be sorted. I've also read that the most likely cause is a faulty connection or loose wire rather than a faulty airbag itself. Perhaps a call to Skoda Customer S...

Re: Front assist not available ACC error

Either way your dealer s...

Re: Front grill on Skoda karoq

I agree, according to the owners manual it looks like the front towing eye cover is missing.

Re: infotainment display

It sounds like the car's User Account is still set up for someone called Francis. Did it have a previous owner before you bought it? If so the dealer should have done a factory reset to remove this data, as it leaves the previous owner possibly able to control vehicle functions and receive informati...

Re: Thinking of buying a Karoq

I recently picked up a 1.5 TSI DGS Edition, it has a powered tailgate, not sure if it has kick motion, I've tried a couple of times and nothing. Is there anywhere of knowing if it has? The kick motion thingy was an optional extra and needs a sensor under the back bumper - but as I didn't add that t...

kodiaq wrote: Fri Apr 29, 2022 9:32 am Skoda should IMHO, ditch this system, it has been nothing but trouble since 2017 when introduced on the first Kodiaq.
I believe all new cars have to have an emergency call system fitted by law now, and the latest software updates seem to have cured the initial bugs.
