Re: Ahoj a dobrý den

As a general rule, the Briskoda site is better for technical information but has a few individuals that hide behind their keyboards and pour vitriol and scorn on those they regard as lesser mortals. This is a far friendlier place. I tend to read Briskoda when I need something but rarely post there. ...

Re: Newbie

Welcome to our bit of cyberspace.

How about telling us a little more about yourself? (No need to et personal!) What did you drive before the Karoq? How does it compare? What do you particularly like or dislike about the Skoda?

Have fun,

Ian.

Re: Hiya

Hey Bluesman, Welcome to our little corner of cyberspace. I am impressed by the quoted delivery date, 12-13 weeks is far better than some people have been quoted. let's hope that Skoda can keep the date. Have fun, Ian. PS; If you have not already done so I would recommend downloading and reading the...

Re: Isofix

I have just measured the distance between the inside edges of the inner fixing points at 470mm. Measured centre to centre it is about 490mm.

Hope that helps.

Re: Age Profile

Over 40 here too. I had a succession of tweaked and surprisingly rapid Volvos but wanted a change, hence the Yeti and now the Karoq. The choice of a dag box was because my wife does not like driving manual cars so if we want to split the driving I had to have dag.

Have fun,

Ian.

Re: Mpg

A relaxed run back from the New Forest to South Buckinghamshire yesterday evening produced the trip summary below: https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1795/43065449844_154e07a2ff_o_d.jpg 51.7mpg from a 1.5 petrol is really not too shabby. (The journey down was a little busier and I "only" got 4...

Re: Any Yeti owners switching?

I switched from a 1.6 diesel Yeti (Greenline II) to a 1.5 TSI Karoq. The Karoq is a better car by pretty much any objective measure, but it is as dull as ditchwater. Bland does not even begin to do it justice. I have seen a couple of other Karoqs on the road, but I've thought I've seen bucket loads ...

Re: Re-mapping

PDriver40, Did you think any further about a remap? If you went ahead I'm sure there are folks here who would like to know how you go on, who you used, what were the results on a dyno, how does it feel on the road, what did your insurance company make of it... etc, etc, etc Before deciding to buy th...

Re: Mpg

I ran my 1.5TSI DSG on Eco mode while running the engine in and can't say I saw much difference in either performance or fuel consumption when I set it back to normal for the next few tanks of fuel. The last tank on Eco mode 39.3mpg next tank (normal mode throughout) 35.6mpg. However, the drives wer...
