I have just measured the distance between the inside edges of the inner fixing points at 470mm. Measured centre to centre it is about 490mm.

Over 40 here too. I had a succession of tweaked and surprisingly rapid Volvos but wanted a change, hence the Yeti and now the Karoq. The choice of a dag box was because my wife does not like driving manual cars so if we want to split the driving I had to have dag.
