Re: Facelifted Karoq on the way!
All those lovely new features... ...but it still gets the appalling MIB3 infotainment and sat nav system. I will not be replacing my current car with a new Skoda when the contract comes to an end. They are simply falling into the same trap as many other manufacturers of giving us new features rather...

Re: Car locking itself
Key failure without warning seems to be standard on Skodas fitted with KESSY. On premature battery failure, I was advised to only use Panasonic batteries. Certainly, I have had multiple early failures with Duracell and Energisers. I have been using Panasonics without issue until recently when one of...

Re: Starter button
Thank you, Colin.
No coding by the look of it so I reckon I will give it a go.

Starter button
The start button on my Karoq appears to be wearing out. It frequently takes several attempts to get the car to respond (start or stop) when I need it to. The button is available as a spare for about fifty quid but I feel sure a dealer will want to charge an arm and a leg to fit it. Does anybody here...

Re: E5 v E10 fuel
I have not noticed any difference with "cooking performance" engines, but on the tuned Volvo's I used to run the higher octane fuel produced around 10% improvement in fuel consumption as well as feeling far better. I have not noticed any difference between E5 and E10 in the Karoq.

Re: Automatic Tailgate / Boot not stopping for obstructions
Surely, Skoda have to provide what customers want, or they lose sales. And enough customers are demanding KESSY, powered tailgates, LED headlights etc that if Skoda don't offer them they'll buy elsewhere. I see you've got a heated windscreen and steering wheel in your Karoq as I do - I consider the...

Re: Automatic Tailgate / Boot not stopping for obstructions
Powered tailgates? Just another "simply clever" feature that is too clever for its' own good. Skoda seems to be suffering from quite a bit of that at present.

Re: Key failure with no warning
Read the manual regarding opening the door using the key in the lock and then starting the car by pressing the starter button with the key fob. tom I tried that and had to get a man from Skoda Ensurance to come and do it for me as the key just turned in the lock barrel. To make it work, the key has...

Re: SOS Error: Emergency Call Workshop!
Dodgyskoda, The auto start-stop is probably doing exactly what it should by only operating when the battery voltage and load are within defined parameters. While changing wiper blades if yours are dodgy (mine lasted well over 25K) should not be necessary, it is not tough or expensive and is certainl...
