Recall on 1.0 manual Karoq

Following thread on 'other' Karoq web site discussing a recall in Germany for a handbrake issue I put my VIN into the DVLA checker and the flag a recall effective 5th December and to contact dealership. The German recall notes that on some manual 1.0L Karoq and Ateca models the brake may self releas...

Re: Petrol Tsi engines

Didn't have any issues either. The VW fix had noticeably increased the workload on the DPF (and presumably the EGR also). On the 4 x 4 Yeti they were about £1000.each to replace if they failed - a risk I would rather not have. Petrol ones as you say should less 'worked' but they will be sized down t...

Re: Petrol Tsi engines

On the 'other' Karoq forum someone noted that the 2019 spec engine will have a particle filter (glad mine doesn't)

Re: Just been told I can't get my Karoq SE

I have the SE and really happy with it. The package proposed looks good value and I'm sure that somewhere in all the small print will be their right to change specs/ pricing without notice

Re: Mpg

Glasgow - Warrington and back - 2 up down and extra 3 grandkids and luggage on way back. Cruise control on at 69 mph and returned 50mpg overall. Impressed the 1.0L held 6th gear all the way over Beattock and Shap with no problems

Re: Heated rear seats

I presume there would need to be an electrical disconnect for removing the seats? My Karoq doesn't have the removable seats but my Yeti did - no connections to remove on it.

Re: Sd card

Looking at above posts I took all the folders away and the 32G card plays all the tracks just fine. Can't comment on sequence of play as I always use 'shuffle'

Re: Mpg

1st Brim to Brim gives 43mpg (similar to my 2.0L Yeti) so hoping as engine loosens and runs get longer should improve a bit

Re: Tyres

Mine 1.0L came with Hankook tyres as original fit and I do find them pretty noisy on some surfaces. My previous Yeti was a 4 x 4 so not a direct comparison but the OEM Pirellis and subsequent Cross Climates were much quieter. The Cross Climates gave a smoother ride too but I will need to wear out th...
