Oh Fiddlesticks (or something)

The low morning sun got to me yesterday as I was driving to work and revealed how much film had developed on the inside of the windscreen. So, when I got home I grabbed the "invisible glass" spray and a roll of kitchen towel and gave the inside of the windscreen a quick going over. Unfortu...

Re: New Member - New Karoq (1.5 TSI, Candy White)

Welcome to our corner of cyberspace. I am impressed, 550 miles on a tank is pretty good. I am closer to 400 miles a tank, but most of my journies are short and through tight lanes with lots of stopping and starting and my old diesel yeti struggled to do much better than 50 MPG in those conditions. H...

Re: new member

Wow! That is a short lead time but, I guess if the car is standard (or at least has no options that chance the weight significantly) and one of the models tested against WLTP it is probably one of only a few that is actually being built ready for delivery at present. Good result for you. Welcome to ...

Re: Just joined this forum

Hi, and welcome to our little corner of cyberspace. If you look to the thread titled "delivery delays" you will find that you are not alone but, as you say, many other marques are suffering similar delays because the new test protocol requires far more variants to be tested than the previo...

Re: Columbus stereo settings

Looking at those settings I can hear the sound engineer sat at a million pound mixing desk sobbing into his beer and wondering why he bothers. Having said that, as I posted previously, there are too many factors involved for anyone to produce a best set as it is really down to personal preference an...

Re: UK postcodes

I simply type the postcode into the address bar and it finds the place. You then have the option to add a house number if required or you can just accept the place found from the postcode which will usually be within a 100 yards or so. Could not be much simpler... Re: My Edition

My is fitted with Bridgestone Turanzas. They feel OK when driving but even on a gentle launch they scrabble a bit. Add a bit of damp and a heavier right foot (I almost never use sport mode) and it is anyone's guess when the car will actually move. Those fronts are going to have to go but the questio...

Re: Columbus stereo settings

If my son chose the music, the best setting is "Off" :D More seriously, I don't believe there is an optimum setting (except perhaps to centre everything) For my money the best setting is the one you like best, and that will vary depending on what you are listening to and your personal pref...
