Re: Car locking itself
As there is a safety element with the car unexpectedly locking, then why not escalate to Skoda UK?

Re: automatic gearbox
I am a gentle driver as well.
If I feel the car is holding on to a gear I lift the throttle slightly and that seems to cause it to change up.
Of course this could just be coincidence.
Can't see an easy way to check and it could just also be the car has not fully warmed up.

Re: Auto locking doors
Download the Owner's Manual from the Skoda UK website. The Manual can be a bit confusing as it covers all systems/accessories/models but you should get some idea of the possibilities. I think pulling any interior door handle unlocks the doors, the exception being child locks that can be set independ...

Re: Key failure with no warning
I have Panasonic batteries in both of our key fobs, I have put the bolt meter across them both and get readings of 2.97v and 2.96v. Both healthy you would think, but no the 2.97v battery in my fob will not do anything, no red light nothing at all! From this I conclude something but what I've not ye...

Re: Rear Fog Lights 1 or 2 ?
The logic is that one fog lamp will stand out more.
If you can find the correct light unit you may still need to program the canbus. The days of just putting a bulb in the other side are long gone.

Re: Navigation and maps
Is your computer Mac or Windows?
Must admit I wouldn't even attempt it on my Mac. It looks complicated, not sure my old brain could keep up.
So far I have relied on my dealer to do it for me on the annual service.

Re: Amundsen Sat Nav out of date
Sure I read somewhere here (or on the Briskoda Forum) that the maps are only updated around Nov/Dec once a year. That's why I have my car serviced in January and then get the dealer to update the SD card. I recently drove along the A14 heading west towards Bedford. Around Cambridge there have been e...
