If it is two little notches forming a 'hook' then I'm fairly certain that these are for securing the nets.

Re: Tray in centre console
I had an "ashtray for cup holder" with lid on my yeti. It fits in the cup 'hole' in the Karoq and I keep coins in it for parking

Re: Grease on front wheel
Urgent dealer safety problem.
Do you really want grease around the calliper and thus the disc brake?

Re: Key failure with no warning
Just like the washer "top up" that you pay for on a dealer service, changing the key fob battery will turn into something the dealer does every time (and charges you for the pleasure).

Re: Skoda Connect - don't think I'll bother
VW plug worked for me. Just make sure you use the Skoda Connect Lite website and not the VW one. The VW site won't recognise the Skoda Vin Number. Being a 'glass half empty' person this threw me for a while.
I like it.

Re: Karoq ride comfort and quality
Take a test drive (Covid allowing) and look at the wheels fitted. If it's on 19" rims then try one on 17' or 18' (or even 16"). Personally I don't understand the fashion for big rims. They are more susceptible to kerb/pothole damage, the tyres are more expensive and the ride is harsher. Ch...

Re: Skoda Connect - don't think I'll bother
When I bought my Karoq the dealer took me through setting it up. Never used it. Recently I bought a cheap genuine data plug on Ebay to give the Connect Lite app a try. I like It. I like the "Trip" detail which includes the route taken on Google maps, the way it shows your mileage and judge...

Re: Start / stop
The battery is only charging under certain circumstances most commonly on overrun.
For the last year I have only done short journeys and start/stop rarely activated.
I needed to do a longer journey last week and for a short period the start/stop began working again.
I don't worry about it.
