Re: Towing 2.0 TDI DSG

There were quite a few minor changes for MY 21, with the new Infotainment system explained here https://www.skoda-storyboard.com/en/press-releases/skoda-karoq-kodiaq-and-superb-begin-2021-model-year-with-new-infotainment-generation/. As has been mentioned in several threads the new infotainment syst...

Re: Edition hopefully soon to be ordered!

I collected mine about 3 weeks after it was built, but it all depends on how long it queues for a train to Emden, then a ferry to the UK.

Re: Owners handbook

Mine has been activated but it's useless says the car is open but it isn't, have to tell it to lock it then it shows locked I've got a suspicion this is down to when it stores the data in the cloud. When I come back from shopping and unload the shopping from the boot, then close and lock the car, t...

Re: Owners handbook

... oh & they have to activate the Skoda connect function to open/close doors from your phone. Regards Jason. That could be interesting as they are supposed to take a copy of your driving licence to prove your identity before doing that! When I collected my car I asked the sales manager to activate...

Re: Owners handbook

There should be a paper handbook in the car! This covers all the obvious things like controls, seats, safety, assist systems etc, although it refers you to the downloaded handbook for details on the infotainment system. You get this from https://manual.skoda-auto.com/210/en-gb/Models by inputting yo...

Re: Traffic sign recognition retrofit

Both options use a front-facing camera in front of the rear-view camera, as well as activating software modules. If the camera is not fitted, then adding it and enabling the software is likely to be very expensive. I've seen Kodiaq owners asking the same question (Google to find the threads in other...

Re: Government to scrap ALL EV grants.

Note for readers... this topic has been discussed in more detail at https://www.kodiaqforums.co.uk/viewtopi ... 211f37cfcf and the consensus seems to be that the grant will not be removed until 2023.

Re: Government to scrap ALL EV grants.

Left hand not talking to right hand?? As you say, electric cars are still far more expensive that IC cars, with a more limited range and much longer 'refuel' times. As far as I am concerned, a small one could cope with local shopping trips, but as it would have to be a second car any savings in fuel...

Re: Skoda Approved Used warranty

I believe the warranty is given by Skoda UK, and so should be valid at any dealer. However if there any grey areas about whether or not a fault is covered you might get a better response from the dealer if they sold you the car. If the car is under 3 years old then I believe that its original 3 year...
