Re: New Karoq 4x4

Sorry, misunderstanding. You spoke of an auto and then mentioned 'P' so understandably thought you meant P on the gear stick quadrant. you didn't say P BRAKE! Parking brake is electrically operated by the little lever marked P to the rear of the gear stick and puts the BRAKES on all 4 wheels. If you...

Re: New Karoq 4x4

Hello Alethea, Welcome to the forum. NEVER, EVER Try to move the lever into P when moving or you will end up spending £thousands on a new gearbox. P locks up the transmission by putting a pawl into teeth in the gearbox. It is NOT a hand brake and the vehicle should NEVER be left on a hill with gear ...

Re: Dash cam diy

There should be a nut somewhere available in the depths by the fuse box , if not drop the glove box lid and see if there is one there. use an open ended spade connector for the earth and DO NOT remove any nut you find (in case you drop it into the bowels of the car) just loosen it a few turns.

Re: Cannot make my mind up?

Thanks Kodiak You are quite right and Meadens have been there a long time so they must be doing something right. Looking at the Bournemouth dealer, the Wallisdown Rd is like a race track and not the best place to start a test drive. However there do seem to be some sizeable discounts available on a...

How is the 1.5 engine with the DSG box? As VW won't put them in the Polo as they say it gives a jerky ride, they say "not compatible" ?
All 7 of my Skodas have been DSG. Fabia, 3 yetis, Kodiaq, Karoq SE L and KAroq Edition.
BRILLIANT gear box, no jerks at all. Go for it!

Re: Karoq Edition 1.5 TSI DSG - Advice on Tekky Stuff

Hi Everyone Have been analysing a proposed purchase to death, seems to have been quite a few of us who have done this. I do not change my car very often, so there now seems to be quite a bit of kit available which come under the heading of driver aids. I am well into my 70's so it has its attractio...

Buying from Meadens I presume? The best Skoda dealer for miles around. I live in Poole and travel to Meadens to buy and service. Six Skodas from them so far.
Wouldn't touch the Bournemouth dealer with a barge pole!

Welcome Sandys,
You will be joining an enthusiastic bunch here. Draig is coming up for 5, I am on my 7th. One often gets bitten by the Skoda bug.
