Re: Towing Mirrors
Vertical. Our tin snail is pretty small - it's an Eriba - so we don't need the extra field of view that having them horizontal provides. I've also shortened the tubes on which the mirrors themselves attach for the same reason. And it means I'm far less likely to clobber something with them as well. ...

Re: Towing Mirrors
If you want mirrors that fit perfectly, don’t flap around, don’t interfere with the folding mechanism when attached and aren’t made next to useless by vibration, you’ll struggle to do better than German-made EMUK ones. The model number you need is 100903. They are unique-fit (they do fit Kodiaqs as ...

Re: Replacing electric tailgate strut with gas strut
I’d have a look on AUTODOC. Put in your car’s details and look for tailgate struts in the appropriate parts category. I think it’s in the interior and comfort section. When I did the same for my 2021 Sportline - which also has powered struts - it gave me a couple of options for gas strut replacement...

Re: Droning Sound when driving
What makes you think it isn’t a wheel bearing? While it certainly isn’t a foolproof means of diagnosis, it might be worthwhile trying a couple of things which could narrow it down a bit. Noisy wheel bearings are certainly more noticeable over about 50 or 60, but if one is on the way out you can ofte...

Re: Factory fitted tow bar
There is enough clearance for the hitch to be swung up into where it lives with a cover fitted to the ball. Whether you put a cover on depends to some extent on what you are using the towball for. If you are towing something which requires having grease on the hitch, then using a cover will keep you...

Re: Hard Wiring a Dash Cam With parking Mode
Can someone please advise which fuse I would need to piggy back for a permanant live. I'd use the cigarette lighter fuse. Seems like most Skoda cigarette lighter sockets are permanently live, which is good for what you need; that isn't necessarily true in other Volkswagen group cars where you have ...

Re: Converting Karoq SE-L with space saver spare wheel to full-size spare wheel
I recently bought a Karoq 1.0 TSI SE Technology 2020 and I’m looking to install a full size spare wheel. I’m struggling to find where I can purchase these parts for housing spare wheel and new boot floor ( part number: 57A09860C and 57A093860A any help would be greatly appreciated. The first part n...

Re: Plastic Trim on wheels
It's only a guess because I don't have any experience of the wheel trims myself, but from what I've seen elsewhere these 'aerodynamic' things are a push fit. If you can push them on you must be able to pull them off, though you may need to use the hook-type hubcap puller in what used to be called a ...

Re: stop start not working
I'm not entirely sure that the occasional long run is going to cut the mustard, really. Assuming the problem is indeed the battery being insufficiently charged and not one of the almost infinite combinations of factors that prevents the start/stop operating by design, that is. If your pattern of jou...
