Re: SOS Error: Emergency Call Workshop!

My 70 plate Edition has just had its second service and has had software updates. Time will tell if this cures the endless SOS errors. Was rather surprised that the Scala courstey car I had also had the same thing happen within 5 miles.

SOS Error

Got my first SOS Error from car today. Lost all the infotainment on the centre screen. The instrument cluster still working OK. 16months old and 6k miles. See if it clears later.

E5 v E10 fuel

Since new I've run my Karoq (1.5 manual) on higher octane fuel, normally Tesco 99, the price difference is about 0.7p per mile. However last time I filled up I accidentily used the new E5 'normal' unleaded. Using the car since it feels like its lost a bit of power and requires more use of the accele...

Re: Karoq in the snow

I've around 1200 miles on mine (4 months old) so they have had time to bed in. If they don't get any better in next few hundred miles, then I'll change them.

Re: Karoq in the snow

A quick look online suggests a set of all seasons type tyres will be around £700. If it stops todays performance issues I will consider it to be money well spent. Will probably look to change for next winter. I don't have the space to store a second set of rims and tyres.

Karoq in the snow

Took the Karoq out in the snow for first time today, and its was useless. Defeated by a gentle slope that took three goes to climb with the wheels scrabbling all over the place. My old Yeti would just have gone straight up it. OK my Karoq is not 4x4, but I expected better. Could the Bridgestone tyre...

Re: Karoq ordered

Collected new Karoq this morning, put a few miles on the clock. Very impressive, much quieter than the desiel Yeti. Beige trim with the sumroof makes for a very airy bright interior. Ride on the 19's didn't seem any worse than the Yeti on 17's but time will tell. If it does prove to be too hard, the...

Re: Just Ordered

I ordered an Edition model June 25th. It took 13 weeeks to arrive at the dealers, so three months is about right ballpark.

Your dealer should be able to tell you its build week quite soon after the order goes in.
