Skoda Owners Manuals

I have previously advised new Karoq owners how to download copies of the owner's manual, and that it contained much more information about the infotainment systems fitted to their cars. But today I have discovered that Skoda have changed their website so that PDF copies of the owner's manual are no ...

Re: How high am I?

I hadn't realised that was missing - but I haven't been driving in the mountains for 18 months :) ! I agree I used to find it useful too, although it always annoyed me that it didn't show my height in metres. But I can't see how to display that in the new MIB3 Amundsen either. Yet another design fau...

Re: GPS

There's no photo visible in your post, but you can get an English language owner's manual from https://manual.skoda-auto.com/210/en-gb/Models . If you enter your VIN you can select the English version, and if the Skoda UK website doesn't recognise a Spanish VIN, then you can scroll down to select Ka...

Re: Retrofitted Towbar??

There's quite a long thread at https://www.karoqforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=132 which discusses this. With the need to modify the electronics controlling the rear sensors, rear fog light etc, it sounds like it needs to be done properly, and gets pretty expensive. Although I suppose it's not tha...

Re: Sending navigation route to car

Well it worked for me this morning from my Android phone... for the first time. So it seems to agree with your earlier findings that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't? The good thing is that when it does work it lets you send it destinations that can't be found in the car's satnav search. ...

Re: How do I find out what infortainment system I have in my Karoq

If you look in your owner's manual you'll find pictures and descriptions of the Swing, Bolero (both without satnav) and Amundsen and Columbus (both with satnav). Note that you'll probably get much more information about the systems in the downloaded copy of the manual. The current Karoq SE Technolog...

Re: Sending navigation route to car

I've tried again, sending a route from my phone last night, which appeared in the car when I turned on the ignition this morning. The phone app's instruction to find it in the car's Skoda Connect section is wrong for the Amundsen (as I can't find any such section) but the destination appeared after ...

Re: Sending navigation route to car

I tried it last night from my phone app, and although it said it had sent the trip to my MY21 Sportline (also with the MIB3 Amundsen) nothing appeared there this morning. But having seen your post I've just tried it again using the Skoda Connect website https://www.skoda-connect.com This time when I...

Re: Stop & Start

Mine is an automatic, and the stop/start can be activated when I press the brake pedal if the car has determined there is enough battery power to restart the engine. I find that a very gentle braking action will not trigger it, while a firmer press will. The engine then restarts if you wiggle the st...

Re: 12v supply and USB port problems?

If you want to use a USB connected dashcam, you can add an optional USB-C socket up by the rear-view mirror and avoid having to hide wires in the trim. But from memory it's pretty expensive!
