Re: Replacing electric tailgate strut with gas strut

As I said on Nov 22nd '23 (I had forgotten I had commented...old age strikes again! ) SIMPLY CLEVER? NOT!! It is this sort of persistent, niggly, annoying problem that forced me into the arms of Kia via Honda- also not what they used to be! Kia so far absolutely faultless and it's coming up f...

Re: Replacing electric tailgate strut with gas strut

All Karoq tailgates are the same size. The only difference may be the locating points on tailgate and D pillar. Measure yours, pop into your local Skoda dealer and measure the points on a manual lift Karoq. Have a look here>>>>>https://www.google.com/search?q=Karoq+tailgate+gas+struts+price&rlz=...

Re: Help appreciated

Morning Dan, I listened to your recording and bearing in mind it's an 'oil burner' and therefore noisier than a petrol engine, I couldn't hear anything untoward. It is quite difficult to pin point it without being able to move my ears around the engine bay. Have you listened with the bonnet up and y...

Re: Droning Sound when driving

Slow down a bit. You will probably find that Wifey will stop droning on at lower speeds.
(sorry, couldn't resist that! )

Re: Karoq ride comfort and quality

Sorry to be so long replying/ These are the tyres, wheels I put on my Karoq. I want to get rid of them as I have changed cars. If you are interested, make me a sensible offer. I'm in Poole Dorset. I won't send them! I bought them from Yorkshire and the carrier made a complete cock-up of the delivery...

Re: Tyre Sizes

Have a look at this website. Below.
All speedos are designed to read higher than actual, usually by around 10%. My car shows 33mph at a true 30mph.
Changing tyre profile sizes can make your speedo illegal i:e:- if it reads BELOW actual speed.

Re: To buy a Karoq or not?

I hope you ket the same aspect ration. If you went for 'fatter, i:e: 50 or 55 aspect your speedometer will probably be illegal!. Because it will be showing a lower speed than actual. https://www.rotawheelsuk.com/tyre-size-calculator/width/8.5%22/rr-offset/et30/rr-diameter/18%22.html On my sportline ...

Re: To buy a Karoq or not?

if you are not interested in performance try Kia. I am most impressed with my 2 year old eNiro that I have owned for 9 months. I mention performance because Kias with ICEs do not have turbos, instead the use Atkinson cycle engines which are more economical but less 'zoomy'! Have a look at Youtube an...

Re: To buy a Karoq or not?

Mic44, Why do you not have a pump nozzle up your fundament then? eNiro. 313 miles to a full charge (in summer-276miles in winter). Cost £13!!! :D Instant, HUGE torque, no turbo scrolling up. 0-60mph 7.4 seconds) :D No road tax ('til' next year :? ) :D Cheaper servicing . :D ICE, No thanks!. :o
