Re: Sat Nav!...

My dealer has told me that the problems with MIB are worrying.
A friend of mine bought a new Octavia iV PHEV and very nearly had to reject it as being unfit for purpose due to the sat nav.
I gather from my dealer that there is now a fix. Contact your dealer.

Re: New Karoq Sportline 2.0 TSI DSG 4x4

I understand that the dealers are required by Skoda U.K. to keep customers informed of their car's progress. The dealer receives a form from the factory every time the car moves on it's journey from line to dealer. Push them until they do as they should. If they are not doing so, it is either ignora...

Re: Electric tailgate question

You have to be close to use the key to close it to ensure nothing is trapped such as dog tail, child etc.

Re: Electric tailgate question

I have 20 reg Sportline 1.5 DSG and I can open the tailgate with the key from 30 feet away! (while the car is locked-if that makes any difference)

Re: Sat Nav issue - help please

It might be worth making a P.M. to 'Jimmy' on the yeti forum.
He has just bought an Octavia iV PHEV and is having horrendous problems with his sat-nav. He's almost at the point of rejecting the car.

Re: Some surprising tyre news.

Difficult to say really as I had to replace 2 G/year due to bulging walls. Common, apparently, on that brand due to having thinner walls that most. I put the two new Falkens on the front, for obvious reasons, The tread pattern on both are almost identical and they do make a bit of a whirring noise, ...

Re: wing mirror fault

I'm afraid your warranty (unless extended) has expired. There is no such thing as 'repair' in modern cars. Real mechanics don't exist anymore. they are only 'fitters' or, for those so trained in electronics, Technicians. It is chuck away and replace these days. First try for a sympathetic contributi...
