@Milfmog Heated front screen should not have any affect on GPS reception. I have a nextbase hard wire kit from Amazon and an old Mobius action/dashcam (with mini USB) and attempted to install it,. Here is what I did - it might be useful. How many have you seen?
In just two weeks of ownership I have only seen two other Karoqs on the road (mine was the nicest colour of course.) It is still at the stage where you exchange knowing nods of recognition. In a way I hope it stays rare unlike, say, the common as muck Qashqai!
