Re: Aircon Temperature - make it colder

I can't say I have ever measured the air temperature from the vents, but I can confirm that my wife's Fabia gets down to temperature a bit faster than the Karoq. However, I have always put that down to the smaller internal volume of the Fabia and the difference is not massive. The air distribution o...

Re: Aircon Temperature - make it colder

My car interior runs at the temperature it is set to on the climate control. I generally leave it at 21C all year round and it just does its' thing. On a hot day (remember when we last had one of those?) the car gets down to the set temperature as quickly as any other car I have owned. Have fun, Ian.

Re: 1.5 Manual problem

Are you asking about the Kangeroo issue? If so, my car (DSG) has never suffered from the problem. I have read of some manual owners saying their car has been fixed by a software update and others saying it made no difference. Hopefully somebody with a manual box will be along soon to share their exp...

Re: Dipped Headlights warning light

Forgot to add to above - Karoq has also lost the manual headlight level adjustment (halogen lamps). It is is there but stupidly now buried in the touch screen menus where no one will bother to look. The thumbwheel was obvious and easy to use - technology for technologies sake MY red. Article in thi...

@kodiaq do you know much about the new smaller version coming out? Skala?
There is a small Skoda SUV scheduled for release later this year, I believe. It has been named Kamiq and is basically a VW T-Roc or Seat Aroso with a (slightly) different body.

Have fun,

Ian.

Re: Satnav taking over speed numbers

Davylee2470 referred to the way that his Nissan used to suppress the sat nav data unless there was an imminent instruction from the sat nav. There is no way to do that with the Skoda analogue dash and I am not aware of a way to do it with the digital panel either. However, somebody with a digital da...

Re: Satnav taking over speed numbers

I don't think you have a choice. You either have the navigation data between the dials or the driving data (one screen of which is the digital speedo). Of course, this may be different if you have the "virtual cockpit"* which I have not seen and cannot comment on. Have fun, Ian. * Why do they call i...

Re: first service

I would not wait 2 years. Oil changes are cheap, new engines are not. The long, use driven service may make sense for high mileage drivers who will still get to a service in around a year but lower mileage drivers tend to do more short journeys which are hard on oil and hence on engine components. A...

Re: Auto Hold Issues

Hi Chris(?) I have not experienced the issue you describe. However, I tend to leave the auto-hold on all the time but have a habit of manually releasing the parking brake, just as I would with a conventional handbrake. Did you try that? As a matter of interest, have you tried the launch control syst...

Re: What annoys you about your Karoq?

One more from me - useless rain gutters resulting in constant dripping into the car if I want the window slightly open and it is raining (although same can probably be said of most modern cars...) A set of four Heko wind deflectors * cost me about twenty-five quid on Amazon when I got them, took ab...
