Re: first service

I would not wait 2 years. Oil changes are cheap, new engines are not. The long, use driven service may make sense for high mileage drivers who will still get to a service in around a year but lower mileage drivers tend to do more short journeys which are hard on oil and hence on engine components. A...

Re: Auto Hold Issues

Hi Chris(?) I have not experienced the issue you describe. However, I tend to leave the auto-hold on all the time but have a habit of manually releasing the parking brake, just as I would with a conventional handbrake. Did you try that? As a matter of interest, have you tried the launch control syst...

Re: What annoys you about your Karoq?

One more from me - useless rain gutters resulting in constant dripping into the car if I want the window slightly open and it is raining (although same can probably be said of most modern cars...) A set of four Heko wind deflectors * cost me about twenty-five quid on Amazon when I got them, took ab...

Re: What annoys you about your Karoq?

Garbage switch for the mirror heaters? I hadn't realised there was one! I thought the mirror heaters must be linked to front or rear window demist or both. That explains the indifferent clearing of my mirrors the other day. Will now search for the switch. In case you have not found the switch, the ...

Re: What annoys you about your Karoq?

What annoys me most? There are a few things (in no particular order): That garbage switch for the mirror heaters; why no light to tell you they are on? (Alternatively, the mirror heaters could be linked to the front or rear screen heater or on a timer that switched them off after a preset time). The...

Re: What annoys you about your Karoq?

Why can’t it coast in normal drive mode. That’s the main reason I use Eco. Tom Does coasting actually save any fuel? An injected engine will shut off fuel completely when on the over-run and so use nothing, but if it is coasting the car will need to use fuel to prevent the engine stalling. I am sur...

Re: 1.5 Tsi 4x4 Ending?

The Skoda configurator is still showing the 1.5TSi with 4x4, not that the configurator is always up to date. If you really want the 4x4 I'd suggest you call Skoda UK and ask them. The way the Haldex 4x4 system works is that it is in 2wd unless slippage is detected, when it switches to 4x4 mode. This...

Re: Roof bars

Thank you Lancashirelad. My local showroom was unable to show me either the bars or a picture. And, so far, they have not come back with a price.

£185 is significantly less than Thule aerobars so I will investigate further.

Thanks again.

Re: Roof bars

We have the genuine Skoda roof bars for our Karoq. Used them twice so far. They are very good quality, well designed & and easy to put on & off. I don’t know how they compare price wise but I would definitely recommend them. Hope this helps. I use a set of Thule square bars that I have had for year...
