Re: 1.5 Diesel DSG

With the speed limiter set, you can still accelerate through your set speed with a "persuasive" push on the accelerator. Treat it a bit like a kick down on an older style auto-box.

Ian,
You jest!
When did you last get a new car with a full tank? That would cost the dealer £50-60!
Last time I took delivery. And the time before that...

Re: Unable to open fuel filler flap

I would moan at the dealer and ask why you needed to open the fuel filler cap so soon. Given the price of new cars, they could at least have filled it up for you...

Re: Key failure with no warning

Wiggie, a spare in the car would be no help at all if you are locked out of the car. I simply bought four CR2025 batteries from Amazon and replaced the battery in both my keys and both of my wife's. Then I made a note in my diary for the same day next year to repeat the exercise. Around a fiver a ye...

Re: Karoq Edition 1.5 TSI DSG - Advice on Tekky Stuff

Traffic jam assist requires Lane assist, dsg gearbox and adaptive cruise control. If you have all three you have the traffic jam assist. I got it by accident, I wanted the blind spot warning which came bundled with lane assist. I actually did not know about the traffic jam assist until I had had the...

Re: Heko wind deflectors

I have a set of 4 Heko deflectors. They fit and work well, allowing me to park with the windows open enough to get a little air through the car without it being obvious that the windows are not closed. No problems with the auto-folding mirrors.

Re: Modified rear lights

Each to their own. Personally, I rather like the taillights, it is one of the few parts of the overall design that is distinctive and recognisable as a Karoq rather than just another euro box SUV.

Just my personal view. If you like the added reflector strips, that's great.
