Re: SD Card difficulty

Agree with previous post. However I like to randomise my music rather that listen to specific albums so I set up anSD car which just has all the individual tracks and it shuffles them really well. So if you like random that is best way.

Re: Dipped Headlights warning light

Backwards step. Yeti had 'same' system but had an green 'lights on' tell tale on the panel when the lights came on. Really miss this as it is awkward to look down at switch to check if on - equally the little roof LEDS which come on with the lights are almost invisible in daytime need to check on if...

Re: Aux Heater

Brother-in-law's Range Rover allows you to pre heat and access a whole range of vehicle functions from smart phone app. He can track the thing and log activity - has caused some issues with dealer when in for service etc. He demonstrated the warm up functions when he was staying with us over very co...

Re: Recall on 1.0 manual Karoq

Agree on 'manual' option but the system did work particularly well before the mod - it's now ok but not so smooth. I do manually disengage if reversing as the auto release does hold too long here now.

Re: Recall on 1.0 manual Karoq

Car done this morning.

Usual excellent service from Henry's in Glasgow - had it back by 10.30 all washed and cleaned too.

Only difference I've noticed is you now have to touch the accelerator to get the brake releasing - I'll need to relearn starting from driveway as previously just lifted clutch.

Re: Back door seals

Crud build up is 'normal' on these back door seals. They are better than the Yeti ones but it is annoying. The metal work is at least protected on the Karoq better that the Yeti door where the muck was trapped on the seem for the wrap around for the stomne protection 'foil'.

Recall on 1.0 manual Karoq

Following thread on 'other' Karoq web site discussing a recall in Germany for a handbrake issue I put my VIN into the DVLA checker and the flag a recall effective 5th December and to contact dealership. The German recall notes that on some manual 1.0L Karoq and Ateca models the brake may self releas...

Re: Petrol Tsi engines

Didn't have any issues either. The VW fix had noticeably increased the workload on the DPF (and presumably the EGR also). On the 4 x 4 Yeti they were about £1000.each to replace if they failed - a risk I would rather not have. Petrol ones as you say should less 'worked' but they will be sized down t...

Re: Petrol Tsi engines

On the 'other' Karoq forum someone noted that the 2019 spec engine will have a particle filter (glad mine doesn't)
